Barry Donaldson worked with Horne Rose Development, Machado Silvetti Architects, and Arup Engineers to provide energy and environmental support for the project. Technical assistance included energy and cost feasibility studies, and design and construction commissioning for this renovation in Pocantico, NY. Energy analysis included DOE2 simulation of high performance glazing and insulation, energy efficient chillers and boilers, and controls, with a 22% reduction in energy use. The annual savings of $19,440 provides a 31 year simple payback.
